Monalisa Mukherji

After graduating from the Xavier Institute of Communication, kicked off her career at Equinox Films, assisting Sumantra Ghosal and Ram Madhvani. She worked on a multitude of TV commercials before she branched out as a freelance casting director and production designer, in 2002.

In 2007 Monalisa co-founded Little Lamb Films with husband Bauddhayan and has been the pivot of the boutique production house. She has worked on commercials that have won at Cannes, One Show, LIA, Spikes, Effies, Goafest amongst others.  Monalisa is the producer and production designer of three of Little Lamb Film’s feature films – Teenkahon (2014), The Violin Player (2016) and The Cloud & The Man (2021).

Monalisa has been in the jury of the SHOTS – AsiaPacific 2021 and National Film Awards 2019. She has also directed the award-winning documentary short “Kiske Liye” and is currently scripting her debut feature film.

Mandar Kamalapurkar

Mandar Kamalapurkar has done his post graduate diploma in Audiography from Film & Television Institute of India, Pune. He has been working as a sound designer in Mumbai film industry for more than a decade now. He has worked on many Hindi as well Marathi feature films, web series, short films, documentaries and ad films. He has directed three documentary films. He has also been teaching at various film schools as a visiting faculty and presenting talks on ‘Sound Design’ on different platforms.

He received National Award for Best Sound Design 2019 for ‘Trijya’, Maharashtra State Award for Best Sound Design 2019 for ‘Pushpak Vimaan’ and Zee Gaurav Award for Best Sound Design 2018 for ‘Ubuntu’.

Vijay Kalamkar

Vijay Kalamkar

After completing BE in Electronics and Telecommunications from Mumbai University, Vijay did PG Diploma in Film Editing from FTII, Pune. Prior to this he was selected for the Film Appreciation Course organised by NFAI, Pune. His FTII films as an editor ‘Aaranyak’ and ‘Airavat’ have won National Film Awards. So far he has made half a dozen short films like Rang, Mukti, Pan Supari, Need, A Tail Story etc. and all of them won prestigious awards at various film festivals.

He was associate director of Hindi movie – Hamne Jeena Sikh Liya. He is one of the founders of Spandan Parivar Cinema Movement that has been inspiring and motivating aspiring young filmmakers. He has worked with Paani Foundation of Aamir Khan as the Creative Associate (Writer – Editor). He was the Creative Director of Abhiyaan, socio-political event company. He was the visiting faculty at Digital Film Academy, Mumbai. He has just completed his debut  feature film as the Director – ‘Kurla to Vengurla’ in Marathi.

Architect by education, Ganesh Matkari is active in film criticism for more than 20 years. He’s authored 10 books, half of them about film criticism. His latest is a monograph about the renowned filmmaker Girish Kasaravalli, published by NFAI. Ganesh has co-directed the National award winning Marathi feature film ‘Investment’, and has independently directed ‘Shot’, a short film that had its premiere at ‘Indian film festival Stuttgart’. Recently, he has delved into screenwriting with ‘Bhai-Vyakti ki Valli’ a two- part biopic on P L Deshpande. He has also Co-written the upcoming Marathi film ‘Panghrun’. He has served on jury for National Film Awards and Maharashtra State Film Awards as well.  His new book on Film History is expected to be released soon.

NARENDRA BANDABE

NARENDRA BANDABE

Narendra is multi-media journalist since 1999. He worked with various organizations and handled crucial positions. He worked as Editor Input with Zee 24 Taas; with Maharashtra1 as News Editor; with yourstory.com as Assistant Editor; with Broadcast Initiatives as Associate Editor, with Network18 as Head Input Desk, Mumbai and with Zee Business as Producer at Mumbai. Presently he is the director of Amity University, Mumbai.

He is actively working in the field of digital media strategy, content development for TV news and websites as well as media research since 2015. He is member of FIPRESCI. He has attended many international film festivals and film markets. He has interviewed filmmakers like Ken Loach, Paul Laverty, Pablo Larraine, Majid Majidi, Mohsen Makhmalbaf and Many more.

He is pursuing PhD from Dept. of Mass Communication and Journalist, University of Mumbai with research topic – Mafia In Hindi Cinema Post Liberalization – A Study.

He has penned a book on ace Hollywood director Stanley Kubrick – ‘KUBRICK’ in Marathi.
