An Introduction to PISFF

Prabodhan International Short Film Festival

The Prabodhan International Short Film Festival (PISFF) is organised for the first time by ‘Prabodhan Goregaon’, a socio-cultural organisation established in 1972.

‘Prabodhan Goregaon’, operating from the western suburbs of Mumbai metropolis, has been working in the social, cultural, educational, health, sports and other fields of Mumbai as well as Maharashtra. Prabodhan is celebrating its 50th anniversary year in 2020-21. In this regard, Prabodhan has decided to undertake some unique activities in line with the present day traditions and mediums. Prabhodhan is determined to take these activities not only to Mumbai and Maharashtra but also to Marathi artists in other parts of India and around the world. One of these initiatives is, Prabodhan International Short Film Festival.

The main aim of this Festival is to provide a platform for Marathi filmmakers and talents from all over the country and around the world by means of short films. Apart from this, PISFF is also intended to enrich the diaspora of Marathi short films by giving guidance on the production of short films as well as its marketing and participation in various international film festivals.
